For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

In case you’ve got a Linux cloud web hosting package with our company and you’d like to activate the catch-all option for a certain mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it’ll take literally only one single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in your account. You can select one email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature right away, so all messages sent to miswritten addresses will be received there. Clicking the button once more will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary notice and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.
